About 32,000 To Go

32,000 To Go is the Salvation Army’s Oasis Youth Support Network campaign to raise awareness of youth homelessness in Australia.
Every night, 32,000 Australians younger than 24 have nowhere to sleep*. How they make their way off the streets is up to us.
Our campaign launched at the beginning of September with a leaflet distributed in The Daily Telegraph and Courier Mail. You can download a PDF version of it here.
This website allows you to learn more about this issue and also become an important part of the campaign by spreading the word.
Use the links on the left to connect via Facebook, Twitter, Email or many other ways to show your support and spread the word about this national emergency.
The more people who know this uncomfortable reality, the more we can do to bring the number down by getting young people off the streets and towards a brighter future.
*The number of homeless people aged between 12 and 24 is 32,444 according to the 2006 Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Counting the Homeless report. Experts agree that this number has increased significantly during due to the current economic climate.
